Marvelous marble
courts and scrolls:
a facade
to hide their twisted law.
Endless hospitals,
plastic factories,
pumping trash
into the ground,
in a futile
attempt
to curb disease.
Herpes, scabies, AIDS, Infection
spread through
cold desire
to be loved.
Pushed into solitary boxes
and worked to death…

In ekstreme musiek sê die kunstenaars gereeld dat die musiek nie vir ‘n gehoor gemaak was nie, maar dit voel meestal soos ‘n vooraf verdediging om ongewildheid weg te verduidelik. Daarenteen is Mizmor se debuut oorlopend persoonlik van natuur met die eerste oordonderende noot al. Byna 70 minute van totale introspeksie, ‘n ondersoek van ALN se teleurstelling en pyn wat niks met enigiemand anders te doen het nie, en tog steeds universele emosies raak. I have never felt emotions so strong while listening to an album. The chords and melodies are absolutely crushing and, being from the Northwest myself, the whole album perfectly captures the atmosphere of gray fall days. I have never been so emotionally moved by music in my life. Thank you for this album.
